    Athletics Activities Reopening Plan

    Governor Sisolak has issued a directive to allow for athletics training, practices and competition in accordance with guidelines from the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association (NIAA). Please read the conditions of reopening  outlined in the directive.

    2020-2021 Registration During Closure

    TSchool Registrationhe Douglas County School District is accepting Kindergarten Registrations for the 2020-2021
    school year. With school buildings closed due to the Corona Virus Pandemic our schools will be
    accepting registration forms by email, fax, or mail. A completed packet may also be dropped
    off at the Douglas County School District Office at 1638 Mono Avenue in Minden between 9AM and 10AM, Monday through Friday. Please visit our Student Registration webpage for more information.

    Douglas County School District is a public education system nestled among 751 beautiful square miles of western Nevada. Our county includes both the Carson Valley and portions of Lake Tahoe.

    Aerial Carson ValleyThe Valley is bordered on the west by the Carson Range of the Sierra Nevada with peaks reaching 11,000 feet above sea level, and by the Pinenut Mountains on the east rising to 9,400 feet.

    Our district serves the communities of Gardnerville, Minden, Genoa and parts of Lake Tahoe (from Glenbrook to Stateline.)

    Our schools provide over 6,000 students with a nurturing and rigorous learning environment. Douglas County students are successful because our employees, parents, and community work together to provide a quality education.
